Gentlemen I need your advice on my friend getting hearing aids?

My friend has to get hearing aids. His hearing was going but after a couple “blasts” at work (he’s in the military) he now has to have them in both ears due to severe hearing loss. He’s in a bit of a funk - feeling old AND the fact he’s a pilot so…. he will be loosing his wings. He is stationed a few thousand miles away so it’s not like I can physically DO anything….

if you were in this scenario…. what would help you come to grips with this new reality?

And if you were right there, what could you PHYSICALLY do?

tell him not to worry lots of people wear them and when he has them on no one will know and he will find it a lot better for when he is doing things
