Here in Texas, you can dial “211″ and get the United Way Help Line. If you’re not in Texas, check with your local chapter of United Way and they will help you get in contact with the correct organization.

In UK you can ask your GP for a referral to a hearing specialist, who will assess your boys level of hearing and prescribe and supply any aids needed - free of charge.

Here in the uk if you suspect that your child has a hearing problem you go to see your gp or midwife and tell them and they will check this out and get you a referal for a specialists. Who will then discover what extent your childs hearing loss is and then get the approapriate aids sorted. They may also get extra help in the form of speech therapy and sign language teachers.

How do you know that they need hearing aids?
See your doctor and he will put you in touch with the ENT Department at your local hospital if he thinks it is necessary.

Find an audiologist. An audiologist would be the best person to go to for anything related to hearing loss, hearing aids and hearing assistance. They can do hearing tests, order the hearing aids, make earmold impressions for the hearing aids, give you suggestions of which hearing aid company to check into, that sort of thing.
