The best place to go would be to an audiologist. You can find one in the phone book. They can test your hearing and give you a selection of hearing aids that will meet your needs. Hearing aid dealers also sell hearing aids, but are more salesmen than medical professionals. To ensure you’re meeting an audiologist, they should have CCC-A after their name (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology), in the US at least.
