Digital hearing aids?
Lindyloo asked:
The normal hearing aids can be difficult for the user to hear while in crowds (pubs etc)…can anybody tell me if the digital ones make hearing in pubs any clearer…

I’ve never had an analog hearing aid, only digital. It’s fairly clever, in a noisy environment, it emphasizes voice frequencies more than music or noise. However, in crowded environments with lots of people talking, it amplifies everybody the same, and you are going to have the same problem.
I don’t go to pubs much, so I don’t run into it a lot.

the digital hearing aid enhances the sound but you tend to pick up conversations directly in front of you and not those to the side or behind you
