Going through security with hearing aids?

I have behind the ear hearing aids, and I really don’t want to walk through security and have the alarm set off.
Cos then i’d have to explain with hundreds of people looking at me that I have hearing aids, which I am really paranoid about.

Cat do not worry …your hearing aids will never set any alarms off, in any security situation.
So rest easy, wear the aids…..

It is highly doubtful the hearing aids will set off the security as they are primarily made from plastic. The tiny amount of metal that is within the hearing aids (wires) is way too small to trip the detector.
