Does Anyone wear Phonak Una Hearing Aids? If so, how do they work?
Jeff L asked:
I was diagnosed with a 30% loss, and suggested I get the Una BTE’s. Just wondering how well they work. My chart shows 30% across the board for hearing loss +/- 2.

Phonak hearing aids (http://www.healthyhearing.com/phonak-hearing-aids) are known to be quality hearing aids.
Una appears to be Phonak’s entry level digital hearing aid. If you lead a fairly basic lifestyle with few listening demands than this hearing aid should be just fine. It has all the basic technology hearing aids should have today; however if you lead an active lifestyle and find yourself in background noise often and/or group situations you may want to consider more sophisticated technology.
Una is at the right price if you are trying to save on money.
I would recommend researching all the different features in hearing aids to determine what you may need. Then discuss this further with your hearing professional. Remember you have a trial period and if are unhappy with the hearing aids can always return them and get different ones.
