Hearing aids?
Amanda G asked:
If you wear them or know someone who wears them, what kind of hearing aid is best for moderate sensorineural hearing loss? I have about 55db loss.
Advice on the best software

Mine is made by PHONAK.I have far more hearing loss than you but only in my left ear.The earpiece is specially designed for upper frequency hearing loss such as mine. There are holes in the ear piece to let the lows and mids in while the hearing aid boosts the highs.I only wear it in my right ear because the left is far too damaged for it to help.I tried a Miracle ear as well.It worked well but my insurance didn’t cover it.
An ENT is not qualified to make that decision. It must be made by an audiologist.
